I am entering the arty sorts mega celebration guest challenge   http://arty-sorts.blogspot.in/2012/06/mega-celebration-event-no-2-guest.html   with this card, this is my first entry. It was said to use three colours pink , white and a splash of black. I used a plain photo paper which is white background, a bird which is black and tree with flowers. This may not be a good idea but am just learning my ABC's in quilling . Hope i get lot more better ideas and things as i move on.

photoframe i made mostly with handcut paper, i didnot add leaves as i made with green background. i added all the designs i learnt through youtube and blogs  http://susanquilling.blogspot.ch/2011/12/beehive-flowers.html  and tutorial from  http://quillingmesoftlee.blogspot.ch/2011/12/beehive-technique-video.html  fringed flowers from youtube. Made the below flower from a comb as shown in one of the tutorials of youtube.  This is the birthday card made for my friend's son. got the ideas from the ebay site. He is 7 yrs old

quilling

Its been a while since i posted on the blog, recently learnt a new art called quilling by smita who conducted workshop here in swiss  http://smilingarts.blogspot.ch/2012/06/my-first-paper-quilling-workshop.html , thanks to her and i am loving it. wanted to do something with the basic designs she taught me. going through so many blogs and getting inspired but don't understand where to start. I hardly get 1 hr in my day because of my kid. When ever i start quilling he comes and kisses the flowers i make and says 'nice amma' he is 2yrs old. i am posting few pics which i have done on a normal paper and handcut paper. I am just using the old cardboards which i find in my home like cornflakes box. Also i have seen few challenges in many blogs thought i will enter into one to atleast get some fuel on what to start. But seeing many good and brilliant quillers  i dont think iam eligible.
