Hi friends, Back with another card,just completed making it. I saw this tutorial of ribbon border  here  and wanted to try it from long time .Finally done one card  which turned out to be much better than i expected. I never thought that i would use black in my cards(sentiment) but this combination of maroon and black really works well.  Coming to the card i made the knots with maroon colour satin ribbon. I first had problem in selecting the sentiment and finally thought something related to love will be good with these colours. I dont have any love sentiment expect the letters so settled with Thinking of you. I dont have a black cardstock so used a marron colour base with embossed black thick card.  I made a border with crimped black paper which my son helped me in crimping (he saw that on my desk and was playing and thats how i got the idea ;) ) used some rhinestones.  Roses are handmade and stamped the butterfly on maroon colored cardstock, used ...

 Hi all Made a quick card yesterday for Unstampabelles  challenge 23. Its a diagonal easel card. I used orange base card with purple flowers,foam heart inside. I have a watermark made in photoshop by sridevi my blogger friend a long time back, i dont know how to add it to the picasa web i use. can anyone help? Hi  Used rhinestone,quilling and ribbon for the challenge at ICR 29 .  I made the dress with the pattern paper and stuck it on top of the triangular quilled shape.  Hope it qualifies thanks Kavitha vadhri

Hi   Here is another card i made yesterday. Got sometime today to take the pics and upload it so more posts today.  I used white and silver quilling strips to make the flowers. pearls are also silver colour. I embossed the first layer,second layer is the punched one. Hi all, I saw this video of wrinkling and distressing the background in youtube and tried on this card. I used doily with ribbon in the middle. I ironed from back of the card to make it flat while sticking to the base of the card. stamped directly on the doily. I should try this background technique more,not that satisfied with this card. Hi all Made a masculine card with a bargello technique.  I used only two pattern papers with boyish colors.  I cut a corrugated paper in the shape of star and stuck the printed letters. sentiment is a stamp. finished with some buttons, tried something without my usual quilling cards. Hi friends, Made my first quilled ear rings for entering shylaa's challenge at adhiraa creations.   As soon as i saw the challenge,i remembered my broken ear rings.  I thought i will give a try with those as i don't have any idea of what to get and how to do it. The hanging part was a pearl but it was broken so added quilled hanging with a pearl in it. Hi all A simple quilled border on a canvas using Glitter alpha stickers. I wanted to try a quilled butterfly from long time and so did it for this frame. It took 5hrs for me to quill this butterfly . I took the printout of the shape and used my pins to quill around it and insert coils in the middle. I hope to do more in the future.I distressed the edges of the canvas and used doily for the center. Hi all Made a birthday card using the cute image which i won in chirstmas celebrations by Damaris ( will edit with link soon) . Its by HeatherEllis.    I colored the image with water colour pencils and distressed the edges with mustard seed. Used washi tape for the balloon.  stuck gren rhinestones to the frock. Made a photoframe after seeing tutorials by Dr.Sonia and Neha. Used few diamond mirrors i was having. First time tried a dimensional flower. Used acetate  in the front for the frame. Laces for the border of the frame,one is punched and other a decorative butterfly tape. Bottom side of the frame is stuck with foam sheet as there was a piece of cardboard i kept it while sticking the back side of the frame. I thought of putting a flag type of sentiment but later dropped it. Thought i will just leave it plain with these sheets. Hi friends, Made a card using a sketch from Freshly made sketches.  Its really difficult to compete with lot of beautiful entries every time i see in this challenge, but still want to give it a try with my quilling. This time i Quilled a heart using beehive technique with a glitter alpha as a sentiment. Used the alphas sent by itsybitsy. Used washi tape around the heart and the pink polka dots one is also the washi tape.  My card says Love you,is that right,yesterday i had a doubt whether the single heart means love.  Still continued doing it and here is the result.  Hope you like my idea.   Thanks kavitha vadhri

Hi all Made a card with acetate for the first time. I had found a  cream coloured cardstock which was by mistake put on top of wet wipes box. I stored those wipes for cleaning after stamping. So I didn't notice when putting  the cards and pattern papers. So they were all wet. I felt bad for sometime and then got the idea of cutting the front portion of the card and putting the acetate in the middle. One lucky thing is top and bottom portion of card was not soaked. I had cut the cardstock till where i found the water marks and replaced it with acetate. Covered the backside of the card with pieces of cream cardstock. I remember watching this tutorial in youtube a while ago.  I had used fiskars sunburst edge punch and wanted to keep it simple by just adding the mango coloured strip to one end of the punch. Card made using the martha stewart doily lace punch. I had seen many cards using this punch in layers and wanted to try it on my card. Used a quilled flower with button and rhine stone in the centre. Crimper for swirls and pearls in the centre. Stamped the sentiment twice with black and mustardseed ink.  Doily lace punch I want to share some news with all my followers.
