Kavitha's little world

Hi all Another quick post today with my first ever stitched card inspired from dynamic deepthi. She makes card so effortlessly and very quickly. I was inspired from the below card and hopefully CASed properly.  I took the negative paper of the punched flower and traced on the purple cardstock and started stitching and i found it very nice to see the result. What i learnt is first punch the holes with a cork under the paper with a small needle and then start stitching. I put some rhinestones all over.  I don't want to spoil the stitched card with my stamping directly on it so put the sentiment separately. I put the acetate all over the stitched pattern and made the frame from a pattern paper. The base of the card is white and so you can find white all around the frame but due to wind i couldn't capture the pic properly.  I have only white thread and so proceeded with it.  I will definitely try some more cards with stitching.  submitting...

Hi all I altered a  choclate box using washi tape and decorated with some handmade flowers. I thought i will put an inspirational quote on each side of the box and here is the result. I am happy that i made something useful to me and can use it as a storage.  These are the quotes i really liked so much and every time i read i feel inspired.  I first stuck the tissue paper to the box and pasted white paper and covered the edges with purple washi tape.  Bird at the bottom is a sticker. Hi all I saw this challenge by  Savannah O'Gwynn    at Do more with less  and wanted to try the masking of different sentiments to make your own sentiment. I am very poor at stamping and had to try 3 times to get this simple sentiment atlast. I used Best wishes which actually is in two lines and stamped it one line by masking. On is the one i got from masking the Get well soon stamp  and last i masked It's on It's your birthday stamp. I never thought that i would try something in stamping apart from normal sentiments which iam still scared to stamp directly on card.  I added few roses which are the new ones i tried. As usual a quilled flower is added.  I distressed the circle with mustard seed ink. Hi  Made a card following the sketch from sketchbook saturday,   Again a simple card with some quilled flowers.  Added little heart rhinestones. I don't know but my colour combinations are same for all my cards these days and I am trying  to change it and use proper colours and papers. Hope to be back with another card soon. Not in a mood to craft these days due to some personal problems but atleast during crafting my mind is diverting, but not able to do feel good cards . Hi all A simple quilled birthday card. Used Martha Stewart punch, distressed the edges of the sentiment with distress inks. Hi A quick post to submit my tag to some challenges. Just a simple quilled tag on which i used a pattern paper which i think is close to bermuda bay. Distressed the other part with worn lipstick and mustard seed inks. Added layers of punched doily lace in kraft colour. Sentiment is a sticker and added a shabby chic bird. Hi all Made a card for Tuesday Trigger at Moxie fab world. I was inspired by the lovely colours. Started with the orange base card ,layered with yellow and white cardstocks. A simple quilled flower patterns and a stamped butterfly which is colored with orange and white water colour pencils. I made this card for my son's teacher who is leaving the school for good.  Just completed the card and had to take pic at night, will definitely try to take another pic at day time. sorry for the bad quality. sentiment is a printout. Hi all Made a card with the sketch from sketch book saturday challenge . I embossed the cardstock with corner hearts and done some quilling according to the sketch. Punched the bottom portion with martha stewart doily punch and used decorative lace ribbon tape.  I stamped the sentiment and distressed the edges with worn lipstick and placed on purple cardstock. I don't think its visible as i took the pic during night. Hi  Made a card using the sketch from Mojo Monday  . Yesterday received the package from PPS which i won in their first birthday celebrations candy. These are the papers and stamps from them. Added the quilled flower with a leaf button and a big pearl. The flag is the washi tape stuck on a cardstock and cut.  Hope you like it.
