Kavitha's little world

Hi all Back again after a while before taking a long break. I wanted to share a cute album(9 by 9 inches) i made for my kids( yet to be born second one) . I would like to share my album Little by little as i had to edit almost 20 pics, will try to put few in one pic. Sharing the album cover first. Will edit the details also slowly atleast before my due date(in 2weeks).  After so many mistakes , learnings here is the first photo. All started after buying the Marthastewart scoring board and fiskars trimmer in creativa zurich. I always wanted to do an album inspired by many crafters and finally tried mine after seeing couple of videos from youtube. Bought Bundle of joy from echo park , some stamps , coordinated dies from clearly besotted and then got some courage to do mine. The cover is 9 by 9 inches and inside pages are 7.5 by 7.5inches. Hi all Made a  home decor with an inspirational quote. I liked this quote CARPE DIEM which means  Seize the day, put very little trust in tomorrow (the future).   I bought this hexogonal canvas in an exhibition last sunday and first applied gesso all over it. I then applied the distress inks broken china all over it and peacock feathers to the borders and sprinkled some water,made the diecut doily as a stencil and inked with distress inks. You can find the doily stencil behind the tree. I applied textured paste on the branch and leaves stencil and put quilled flowers. Painted the branch and leaves with acrylic paints. stamped with hero arts leafy vines background stamp with peacock feathers distress inks on left side and right side used the prima stencil with the sponge dauber.   Diecut the alphabets 4 times each so that it gives a chipboard look (suggested in one of Tejal's cards). 4th layer of the alphabets is the gold glittered paper. Hi Started crafting after a very long time. Got my mojo back when i wanted to make a card for my friends Baby. I thought of using this unity stamp from a long long time so got a chance to do it for this challenge at lulupu. Used black ,white and maroon colour. I embossed with darice folder each half in white and black cardstocks. The image is heat embossed with black embossing powder and the umbrella is heat embossed on a maroon paper and put using foam dots.  Made a flower with spellbinders rose creation dies and the sentiment is stamped with a versafine ink. Hi all Its been very long time , how are you all??  Wanted to share a news. I am expecting a second baby in december and this is the reason for the long gap. I have not been well in my first trimester so totally away from my quilling activities. My first son is in Kindergarten from last month and so picking him from school and doing household chores is presently my challenge. Hope i will be back in New year. Hi all Made a quick card for my friend who wants to send her mother. AMMA  means mother in our language. I have used the MFT alphabet dies for the first time here.  Painted the letters with gold acrylic paint.  I made an embossed background on a pink cardstock. Added the black embossed sentiment on a label with the letters. Final touch with some quilled flower , felt butterfly and some pearls.  Made a 3D envelope to fit the card. Hi all A quick post for a card made using the colors from colorthrowdown  . I store the sand colored cardstocks which i get as a base when buying my white cardstocks and finally used one.  Embossed the background. Roses made using the punch. I had this espresso colored pattern paper from mind's eye which i cut using my circle cutter and placed under the sentiment. The sentiment 'A Birthday' is again stamped with hero art shadow ink and the banner is placed using foam dots. Leaves again is diecut and placed using foam dots. Hi I made a quick frame for my friend's daughter. I tried few techniques here, heat embossing on the wooden frame.  I made roses with spellbinders rose creations die.I used pink cardstock and sponged it with pink ink at the centre ,petals and edges with versamark. Corner is heat embossed with gold embossing powder. The name is written using the pearl maker and colored with gold metallic marker. There is an embossing effect on the name.  I embossed the word Adorable on a cardstock and used distress inks on it. Finally completed with some punched flowers, sequins,butterfly.  Used the letters L- Leaves P- Pearl,Punches,Pearl maker C- Cheerylynn die(olive branch), Cardstock for flowers.
