Finally A Happy card
Hi friends,
Back with another card, just completed making it. I saw this tutorial of ribbon border here and wanted to try it from long time .Finally done one card which turned out to be much better than i expected. I never thought that i would use black in my cards(sentiment) but this combination of maroon and black really works well.
Coming to the card i made the knots with maroon colour satin ribbon. I first had problem in selecting the sentiment and finally thought something related to love will be good with these colours. I dont have any love sentiment expect the letters so settled with Thinking of you. I dont have a black cardstock so used a marron colour base with embossed black thick card. I made a border with crimped black paper which my son helped me in crimping (he saw that on my desk and was playing and thats how i got the idea ;) ) used some rhinestones. Roses are handmade and stamped the butterfly on maroon colored cardstock, used black gel pen to highlight the dots on the butterfly which i dont think is visible here in the photo. Then finally the heart shape is done with white gel pen.

You could ask the doc about hair loss... some vitamins help. Spirulina and B6 help and maybe even Vitamin A may help but do ask a good doc.
And staying happy, doing yoga, deep breathing and exercise are great ways to help.
Stay cheerful,
Monica
really love ur card !
thanks for playing with us at BGC for the Oh so knotty challenge !
I could not find your email address anywhere.
So, m typing my reply here. If the question is Bigshot or Cuttlebug. I would say BS, even though it is a bit over-sized.
Well, buying the bigshot is huge. And by huge I don't mean the 4500 bucks you have to shell out. By huge I mean the innumerable number of dies one will be attracted to purchase.
While I don't hoard dies. I have bought a few dies out of impulse that I feel I could have done without.
Also, think about "Why you need the Big-Shot?"
If you like layering and shabby chic, then you will definitely need the BS or a Silhouette Portrait/Cameo down the line. The thing to note is, the portrait is 10000, the BS is 4700. I have bought dies for more than 5000. So, the Portrait is a one time spend. The disadvantage with the portrait is that you cant do embossing.
If you like stamping, and CAS. You can do without the Bigshot, but it will be a useful addition still.
I know how it feels like to see so many girls using die cuts to pretty up their cards all the time :)
So, save up. Maybe Itsy Bitsy will have a sale on the BS soon. I bought mine for 4399.
So wait till the right time.
Also, never feel down. Your quilling is super awesome, and you've won so many challenges. Nobody is perfect. We all keep learning.
Don't be too hard on yourself. You handmade work is so beautiful :) Keep crafting, and keep having fun ;)
Much Regards,
Vithya
